I, Bindumadhav Khire, am an LGBTIQA rights activist with more than two decades of work experience in Pune (Maharashtra, INDIA).
I have been the founder, president of Samapathik Trust (Reg. E3662, Pune) and am currently the director of Bindu Queer Rights Foundation (a section 8 Company) which works on health and rights issues of LGBTIQA community. From 2022, I am a member of the ‘Transgender Grievance Redress Board’ (Pune district).
I have worked for reading down of IPC 377 (which criminalized adult, consensual same sex intercourse);
I have been the organizer of the Annual LGBTIQA Pride Walk in Pune;
I have been director of ‘Advait’- Pune Queer International Film Festival;
I have been director of ‘Mooknayak’ the first Marathi LGBTIQA Sahitya Sammelan;
I have been Project director of MSM (Men who have Sex with Men) / TG HIV/AIDS Targeted Intervention projects.
मी बिंदुमाधव खिरे, गेल्या दोन दशकाहून अधिक काळ, समलिंगी, उभयलिंगी, तृतीयपंथी व द्विलिंगी समाजांचा आरोग्य व आधिकारांसाठी काम करत आहे.
मी समपथिक ट्रस्ट चा अध्यक्षपदी राहिलो आहे व सध्या 'बिंदू क्विअर राईट्स फाऊंडेशन' चा अध्यक्ष आहे. २०२२ सालापासून मी 'तृतीयपंथी तक्रार निवारण समिती (पुणे जिल्हा) चा सदस्य आहे.
भा.द.स. ३७७ कलमात बदल व्हावा- म्हणजेच प्रौढ समलिंगी जोडीदारांनी संमतीने संभोग करणे कायद्याने गुन्हा असू नये यासाठी मी काम केले आहे.
मी पुण्यात वार्षिक LGBTIQA आभिमान पदयात्रेचे आयोजन केले आहे.
मी 'अद्वैत' पुणे क्विअर आंतरराष्ट्रीय चित्रपट महोत्सवाचे आयोजन केले आहे.
मी 'मूकनायक' मराठी LGBTIQA साहित्य संमेलनाचे आयोजन केले आहे.
मी MSM/TG समुदायासाठी एच .आय .व्ही ./एड्स नियंत्रण प्रकल्पांवर डायरेक्टर म्हणून काम केले आहे.
